The Pinky Bunny Foundation is a project 501(c)(3) organization sponsored by GVNG. What we do is...... we provide support, resources and some funding for emergency situations. If in need of support, such as losing your fur baby, we will then connect you with a grieving counselor or direct you to our support group.
For those with emergency care issues, we also donate “Pinky Bunny Care Baskets” to all families with emergency care issues. These baskets are for families activating the #CodePink emergency, which can contain items that Bunny loved during her years that was full of love and joy, as well as items that will help the parents through one of the most difficult times of their life. These items can include: a blanket, toys, treats, a gift card, rubber ducky, a bunny, dvd, etc.
We do this so you don't have to leave out any emergency room with a garbage bag of your fur babies belongings. We know your fur babies mean the world to you and that's why you brought them in in the first place. Our hearts are with you all and that's why we do this. So you don't feel under appreciated for your love for your fur babies as I did when I had my experience. I felt so helpless and they made me feel as if I was a bad parent for not having enough money to save my baby. No one should feel that way. Ever.
If your fur baby has been medically cleared to be suffering and the best option is to put them to rest..... we also will pay for the cremation and paw print of your beloved fur baby.
We also push, with your help, to provide financial assistance to families whose pet face critical emergency help once in the emergency room. We want to be able to pay a portion if not all of your bill for Emergency care services...for example: emergency funding (for those that can not afford it at the time) once in the emergency room (Code:Pink) for tests to be performed to determine how sick your fur baby is in order to be put to rest or continue with further medical treatment. We want to be able to help families rest easy knowing that it was best to put their fur babies down knowing that tests proved to be the best option. Not just be forced to put them down because they financially couldn't afford to do any testing to determine their illness. We'd also like to push for an even more extensive assistance with emergency care such as attending to your fur babies as soon as they come in in critical condition and start treatment asap before receiving a bill.
Hi, I am Sylvia. I grew up loving animals because I hated seeing homeless fur babies in the streets, getting abused , neglected and mistreated. My soul would just catch on fire knowing that there are some cruel people in this world that would leave these poor fur babies so unappreciated and not valued. Then as I got older, I started noticing the financial responsibility that came with them and I thought, they are just like kids....and you know what, they are our kids. We love them with all our hearts as we do anything and anyone we love. Our hearts pour into them as theirs into ours.
Those Vet visits and shot up dates mean that we love our fur babies, and when they get really sick or injured out of no where, it becomes a financial crises. Most of the times when these emergencies arise, we don't have funds available because we are barley living to pay for the life we live now with other bills and kids. So when these emergencies happen, we should be able to be billed for them in order to save our loved ones. But there's a ton of Vet clinics and hospitals that don't offer such benefits. This is heartbreaking for most because it overwhelms our hearts knowing that we love our fur babies with all our hearts and would do anything for them, that we now have become financially burdened by the Veterinary system. The field these Vets got into in order to save lives and heal the wounded do it mostly for the money. We shouldn't feel so helpless or unappreciated or unworthy because we can't afford thousands up front for an emergency from anyone. We shouldn't feel like our only affordable option is to put our fur babies down. We shouldn't feel like none of those and instead, we should feel there's light at the end of the tunnel no matter what. That light would be where we come in. #CodePink
God implanted something in me and gave me a gift when it comes to fur babies. All my babies have been rescues because I knew what it was like being lonely and neglected and orphaned. Plus I had a passion for loving fur babies. So now I give my time and attention to what I can do to be a part of change for the good of things in this life. That means doing all I possibly can to encourage and help the next person(s)or fur ball. We only have one heart, all of us and we all feel. So why not invest in positivity and change.
